Short Bio Nancy Wever is the Director of the Indiana Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative (JDAI). She is an appointed member of the Juvenile Justice State Advisement Group and of two sub-committees of the Commission on Improving the Status of Children in Indiana: The Juvenile Justice and Cross-System Youth and The Mental Health and Substance Abuse Task Forces. Prior to working in JDAI at the Indiana Supreme Court, Office of Court Services, her professional career included 10 years as a Juvenile Probation Officer, six years working in the Indiana Department of Child Services and several years as a youth and family therapist, specifically working with those affected by sexual abuse. Nancy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Master of Social Work from Indiana University. She is a Licensed Social Worker and a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
