The Journey Fellowship for Students

Since 2005, The Journey Fellowship for Students Program has provided a unique opportunity for students to explore careers working with youth while becoming more grounded and confident in who they are.  As a part of the eight month program, students:

  • learn about career options in youth development and explore the field through a paid internship at an Indiana youth-serving organization
  • attend retreats and programs focused on personal exploration and development
  • network with leaders and professionals in the field of youth, making job and lifetime connections

The Journey Scholars Program

Starting in 2019, The Journey is partnering with Indiana University Northwest School of Social Work, Indiana University School of Public Health and the Butler University College of Education to launch The Journey Scholars Program, to support graduating seniors as they transition into the field of youth work. Each university will be offering the opportunity for youth work students to become Journey Scholars and receive professional development support, financial support as they complete internships in their senior year and connection to the larger network of Journey Fellows.
